Our new CD, Migration Road, is back from being pressed and available online (see our store page).  The CD will also be available at upcoming events.   Cris also has a biography that has been released by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press; The Badger Biography Series.  The biography is titled: "Cris Plata: From Fields to Stage/Del Campo al Escenario" and is written by Maia A. Surdam.  Check out the link to the right for more info.

Thursday, June 15th, 2017:   We are pleased to finish out the Olin Park Concert series.  Our show will be a quartet and the show will start at 6 p.m. and finish up by 8 p.m.  The show will be rain or shine and will take place at the Olin Park Pavilion, Madison, WI .  This is a food and family friendly event so pack a picnic and come on out!

Sunday, July 9th, 2017:  A night of great American music--two great bands!  Cris Plata with Extra Hot and Art Stevenson and High Water will be sharing a double bill at the High Noon Saloon.  The show will start at 8 p.m. and we will play the first set.  Be sure to come early and get good seats.  The High Noon is located at 701A E. Washington Ave., Madison.

Saturday, Aug. 5th, 2017:  We will again be at the Paoli Schoolhouse Cafe in Paoli, Wisconsin for their Saturday night concert series .  This will be a fun quartet show and will be starting at 6 p.m.  The concert is held out doors and if weather is threatening please call 608-848-6261 for possible cancellation due to storms.  The Paoli Schoolhouse Cafe is located at 6857 Paoli Rd., Paoli, WI.

Monday, Sept.4,2017:  Please come out to Labor Fest at the Madison Labor Temple, 1602 South Park St. Madison, WI.  The "big" band will be playing from noon to 2 p.m.  Natty Nation will also be performing from 3 to 5p.m. 

Saturday, Sept.16th, 2017:  The Cris Plata trio will be at the Folk Stage at 916 Williamson St. for the Willy St. Fair.  Our time slot is from 5 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 14th, 2017:  We are pleased to be part of the Wisconsin Public Radio's grand centennial event "The Power of Story."  The main show takes place at the Overture Center and is emceed by Ari Shapiro, host of NPR's "All Things Considered."  The main event starts at 8 p.m.  Our trio performance will be prior to the main event from 6 to 8 p.m.  Tickets are on sale at overturecenter.com and 608.258.4141.

Saturday, Dec. 2nd, 2017:  We are performing as a duo at the Sanctuary Benefit Concert at the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.  The address is 2600 Philip Lane, Appleton, WI.  Doors open at 6:30 with music starting at 7:00 p.m.   We will be the opening act for John McCutcheon!  No tickets will be sold but a free will offering is suggested.  

Friday, Dec. 8th, 2017:  Cafe Carpe Lamplighter Sessions featuring Peter Mulvey, Simon Balto, Humbird, and Cris Plata.   Come on down to the Cafe Carpe, 18 South Water St. West, Ft. Atkinson, WI for this special singer/songwriter showcase.  The session starts at 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $20.00. 

Sunday, Dec. 10th, 2017:   A "Toys for Tots Benefit Concert" is taking place at VFW Post 7591, on Cottage Grove Rd, Madison, WI.  Five different bands will be playing.  We will be performing as Cris and Ann Plata but the Kristi B Band will be backing us up.  The concert is from 12 to 6 p.m. and we will be performing at 2:30 p.m.  Bring a new toy or donation for admission.
