Our latest CD, Migration Road, is back from being pressed and available online (see our store page).  The CD will also be available at upcoming events.   Cris also has a biography that has been released by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press; The Badger Biography Series.  The biography is titled: "Cris Plata: From Fields to Stage/Del Campo al Escenario" and is written by Maia A. Surdam.  Check out the link to the right for more info.

Wednesday, May 22nd:  We have been invited back to the Olin Park Concert Series in Madison, WI.  The performance will be held at the park shelter and the concert starts at 6 p.m. and wraps up at 8 p.m.  The four piece band will be cooking up the Extra Hot formula for this show. 


Friday, June 7th:  Simply Folk 40th anniversary concert at Shannon Hall, UW-Madison Memorial Union Theatre complex.  Don Flemons, one of the founders of the Carolina Chocolate Drops is the headliner.   Cris Plata with Extra Hot will be the opening act.  Concert starts at 7:30 p.m.  More info to  follow.


Sunday, June 23rd:  Pursuit of Happiness Festival, (Chicory Stage) Milton McPike Park, formally Central Park (Madison). Cris will be the MC for the stage and Cris Plata with Extra Hot will be playing at 4:00 p.m on the Chicory stage. Come out and start your outdoor festival season on the right foot or left foot!  


Saturday, July 13th:  The Cris Plata Trio will be performing at the Black Hawk Folk Festival at the Mt.Morris town park in Mt. Morris, WI.  More information to follow.


Saturday, Aug.17th:  The four piece band will bring it's hot August music to the Paoli School House Cafe Concerts.  This performance starts at 6 p.m. and goes to 8 p.m.  It is outside so be sure to call 608-848-6261 if weather is threatening.  The cafe is located at 6857 Paoli Rd., Paoli, WI.  Don't miss the good food and beautiful outdoor setting.
